A film first at college for autism audience

A CINEMA screening will be put on especially for people with autism.

West Herts College Theatre will host the sensory-friendly showing of a family film at its Watford Campus on Saturday, January 28.

The college decided to start the monthly events as a result of the growing bond between social care support provider Dimensions and cinema chain Odeon.

Lights will be left on low, sound will be turned down and viewers will be able to move around and make noise throughout the film.

Dimensions’ autism lead Lisa Hopkins said: “This is a great example of what can be achieved when people work in partnership.”

Doors open at 10.30am ready for the film to start at 11am.

Tickets cost £5.50 and carers go free.
