Development could be dangerous for the elderly

ELDERLY people could be put in danger if a proposed development goes ahead as it is.

Plans that include building 36 flats at The Rose and Crown Hotel in Tring, will see an increase in traffic by the side of the building where people who live in Crown Rose Court walk into town.

Councillor Roxanne Ransley said: “It’s an accident waiting to happen. All of the people that live at Crown Rose Court are over the age of 65 and some of them are fragile on their feet or get about in wheelchairs.

“The freezing temperatures and snow made it really bad so you can imagine what it will be like when there are construction vehicles and also cars driven by the people who move in going up and down.

“We need to come to an agreement with the developers.”
