MCHG 12-831 The Batchelor family have arrived at the Greyhound public house, Wiggington. They are Andy and Natilee and children Sophie 13, Jack12, Kirsty 9, and Holly 7.

The new landlords of a village pub say they plan to make the establishment a real family affair.

Natilee and Andy Batchelor took over the running of the Greyhound in Wigginton at the beginning of the month and are welcoming families, children and dogs.

The couple, who have been married for 13 years and have lived in the village all that time, have always wanted to run a pub and are pleased their first one is where Natilee has worked for the past two years.

She said: “I really want this to be a family pub because the surname Batchelor goes back in the village 100 years.”

Andy, who has worked at the pub before as head chef, will once again be taking the reins in the kitchen creating a menu with locally sourced ingredients.
