Be silly with your willies – that’s the basic stage instruction to the brave boys who get cast in one of the touring productions of Puppetry Of The Penis, the show which roared out of Australia and around the world as women flocked to marvel at the artistic athleticism of the leading men.

The show stops off at the Watford Colosseum on Saturday night, and if you’ve never heard of the show before it’s definitely one for the broad-minded.

Puppetry Of The Penis was initially conceived by artist Simon Morley as the title of a highbrow calendar, but then he teamed up with pal David Friend to reveal all at the 1998 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

There are now several troupes touring on three continents at any one time.

Tickets are £19.50 from 0845 075 3993 or online at watfordcolosseum.co.uk, and the venue cautiously suggests that it’s not really suitable for anyone under the age of 16.
