A fundraising duo are only £10 away from their charity target after their story was given a publicity push.

Gemma Abson and Rich Hudson, who live together in Tring, are set to take part in the national 3 Peaks Challenge in July to raise money for Brain Tumour UK, and were initially struggling to boost donations to their cause.

But the pair are now just £10 away from achieving their target of £1,100 after a boom in donations after being featured in our free sister paper the HeraldExpress and on our websites.

Gemma said: “It’s all turned out OK. We’re over the moon.”

The pair are now set to raise far more than their original target, as Gemma revealed they have a charity clothes swap shop event in the pipeline, as well as a make-up evening.

There are collection boxes in Tring, in the Conservative Club and Graces on the High Street, or visit www.justgiving.com/gabson.
