Staff and students from The Astley Cooper School are celebrating a 100 per cent pass rate in this year’s A Levels, with a significant number of students going on to university.

Head of Sixth Form Lucy Grayson said: ‘After many months of hard work, we would like to wish all our students the very best for the future.

“Our students have done very well and we are extremely proud of all of them.”

Additional points are gained through the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), which many Sixth Form students now choose to take.

The projects’ moderator praised the students’ “obvious enthusiasm and energy”, adding: “They deserve every credit and congratulations for their efforts.”
