A furious dog owner has put a notice outside her home after a less responsible person failed to pick up their pooch’s poop – twice.

Angry Jo Simper decided to put pen to paper after twice discovering dog fouling on the pavement outside her Boxmoor home in Cotterells.

“I think it is utter filth and I have had to clean it up myself,” she said.

“I’m a dog owner and I would never, ever do that.”

On Tuesday Jo actually stepped in the mess while heading out early in the morning to walk her own dog – a three-year-old goldendoodle.

She cleaned it up but on Thursday morning emerged from her house to again find mess on the pavement, which prompted her to create a makeshift sign urging dog walkers to pick up after their pets.

“I just want people to see it and have a little bit more respect,” she said.

There are around 430 dog bins in the borough. Those caught failing to pick up after their pet can face a fine of up to £1,000. Dog fouling hotspots can be reported by calling 01442 228418.
