Dacorum Borough Council is experiencing disruption to services due to the weather conditions.
These service updates may change if there is further snow this afternoon (Friday).
The following services are affected:
Refuse and recycling:
The waste collection service this week has suffered severe disruption due to the adverse weather.
To enable us to concentrate on collecting the grey bins missed from earlier this week, we are suspending green bin collections this week. We intend to revert back to the publicised Christmas schedule calendar on Wednesday, December 29.
Some roads may remain inaccessible, and the council will endeavour to return to these on an ongoing basis throughout the week.
Please leave grey bins out for collection.
Housing, Property and Place:
Wherever possible, inspections will be undertaken today (Friday), or tenants will be contacted to reschedule.
The repairs service is operating a normal service today and all appointments should be kept. Mitie will advise tenants if they are unable to attend for any reason.
The heating engineers, AFR, are continuing to work on emergency breakdowns and will contact tenants if they need to reschedule routine service appointments.
The cleaning service is operating normally, however will only mop communal areas where there is no risk of freezing.
Most public conveniences will be open today, except those on Water Lane, Berkhamsted, which are closed due to frozen pipework. All conveniences will shut this evening until December 29.
Staff are unable to visit some tenants due to conditions of side roads and these are being rescheduled. Otherwise, services are running normally.
All Adventure Playgrounds will close at 2pm today.
People visiting graves should be extremely careful as the snow is very deep in places, and the cemeteries are very icy and slippery. Cemeteries will close at 4pm today due to the icy conditions underfoot.
Most services are running as normal - private drainage is running a limited service, depending on access.
Customer Service Centres:
Customer Service Centres are open as usual.
