HEMEL Hempstead Town Football Club is to host a football fun day in memory of murdered Billy Dove.
The Billy Dove Football Memorial Day is being organised by members of the 21-year-old’s family and will feature a five-a-side football tournament, as well as other entertainment including face painting, live music and a crossbar challenge competition.
Billy’s sister Lucy Taylor said: “The whole community is welcome and it is a way of saying thank you for their continued support to our family.”
It is being held on Sunday, August 26, at Vauxhall Road. Entry costs £1 for those wearing Billy Dove wristbands, and £3 for those without. Children under 12 go free.
Entry forms for the five-a-side tournament can be collected from Bourne End Motor Services, with places given on a first come, first served basis. There will be two competitions – for players aged 17 to 25, and for those 26 and older.
