THE annual apple parade was led through Tring high street on Saturday by Councillor Harvey Alison of Tring Town Council, above.

The Apple Man idea was a twist on the pagan Green Man, and scores of people watched as the procession, which also included an apple cart, travelled to the farmer’s market. The Don’t Upset The Apple Cart event from 9am to 1pm featured apples for sale, Tring Brewery’s real ale, Morris dancing and a hog roast.

It was one of many events taking place this month for the Tring Apple Fayre, which celebrates the local community and environment.

On Friday from noon to 2pm High Street Baptist Church will feature an Apple Fayre specials menu. For more apple events visit www.tringapplefayre.com
