Bad weather forces cancellation of charity bike ride

editorial image

Cyclists had to sit out the Robin Hood bike ride on Sunday because of the rain.

The 22-mile sponsored cycle event around the countryside from the Robin Hood Pub in Brook Street, Tring, would have been its 6th annual charity ride to raise money for Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice Care.

The hospice said in a statement: “The safety of all participants is of paramount importance and the organisers did not feel that they could guarantee safety throughout the race given the forecast conditions.

“All those who had signed up in advance can contact the pub for a refund of their entry fee.”
