A woman who organised a balloon release in memory of murdered soldier Lee Rigby says she is disappointed so few people turned out in Hemel Hempstead, but is happy that her message has spread across the world.

Although only around a dozen people arrived to let off the coloured tributes at the Boxmoor war memorial on Sunday, Becky Mooring’s Facebook page has been inundated with pictures of other balloon releases from around the country and even one from Russia.

Becky, who lives near the Old Town, said: “I was disappointed with the turnout in Hemel Hempstead but lots of pictures and positive messages have been posted on the page, which is pretty amazing.”
