Berkhamsted break-ins: £1,000 worth of tools stolen from two vans in two days

Police are warning workmen to be on the lookout after thieves stole £1,000 worth of equipment from two vans in two days.

They took £400 worth of power tools after smashing the rear window of a black Mitsubishi in Sycamore Rise, Berkhamsted, between 8pm on Wednesday and 7.30pm on Thursday.

Then they took £600 worth of plumbing equipment from a Citroen Berlingo on a Greene Walk driveway about a quarter of a mile away between 9.30am and 10am on Thursday. They got into the vehicle by breaking through its rear locks.
