Berkhamsted event raises thousands under the hammer for street-children around the world

A fundraising evening for a Hemel Hempstead-based children’s charity drew in £2,000 in auction bids.

Berkhamsted’s The Old Mill hosted the event for Hope for Children, which helps children around the world.

The charity’s events and volunteers manager Rachel Simkin said: “Thanks to everyone who joined us and to all our successful auction and raffle winners, The event gave supporters more information about Hope for Children, the work we do and how much their support matters and really helps us to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable children.”

“The money riased will go towards helping street and working children in Africa and Asia.
