Police have just released CCTV images of a woman who they would like to talk to about a purse that was snatched from a High Street shop last month.

The theft happened after someone walked in through an unlocked door to a store room at the back of Berkhamsted’s Lisa Kay Shoes.

The purse was taken at some point between 9am and 10.50am on Friday, August 9. A credit card from it was used in a transaction at Tesco in London Road, Tring, at 11am that day.

Anyone with any information is asked to phone Herts Police on 101, quoting crime reference number D2/13/584, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

Police spokesman Sarah Spence said: “We will make as many lines of enquiry as we can with the constabulary and wider community, and now we are appealing to the wider public.”
