A journalist inspired to pursue a writing career after a work experience stint at the Gazette has released her first book.
Zoe Griffin, 30, now makes a living out of blogging through her showbiz and fashion site – www.livelikeavip.com – and reveals the secrets of her success in her book Get Rich Blogging.
She said: “Ever since I was at the Gazette I just loved going out and talking to people and finding out what was going on. I loved the fact you can investigate issues and make a difference. It was what made me want to be a journalist.
“I always wanted to have an impact and hopefully with this book I can make people’s lives better. They can go out and do things for themselves. All they need is a computer.”
After work experience while a 14-year-old student at Hemel Hempstead’s Cavendish School, she returned to the Gazette during summer holiday school breaks.
After university she worked for a number of national newspapers before turning to blogging.
She gets 100,000 unique users each month and generates income through advertising, guest columns and partnerships with clothing websites that she promotes through her blogs.
Zoe now lives in London but her parents are still in Coles Hill, Gadebridge.
