Dragon flames are being relit for a sequel to Dacorum’s Den

Grants of up to £1,000 are being made available to people in Dacorum borough who are thinking of starting a new business or social enterprise – or wanting to try out a new idea.

Dacorum Borough Council has launched a 2013 version of the Dacorum’s Den project that proved so successful last year when grants were handed out to businesses from across the area.

This year there will be a limited number of grants of up to £1,000 for businesses with fewer than 50 employees and social enterprises, who present their ideas to a panel.

Grants will be available for test trading a product or service, expanding into a new market, diversifying into a new product area, promoting a new product or service, buying equipment or tools to improve efficiency or to launch a new business or produce a prototype

Dacorum’s Den 2013 will be launched at Maylands Business Centre, in Redbourn Road, Hemel Hempstead, on Thursday, April 11. Register by emailing lisa.devayya@dacorum.gov.uk The deadline for applications is Friday, June 7.
