Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce & Industry is working with the recently launched Business Growth Fund (BGF) to promote an initiative designed to make more funding available to growing companies.
The Chamber is hosting a breakfast briefing on July 12 so qualifying companies can hear how they might benefit from the new £2.5 billion Business Growth Fund set up to help UK businesses.
Chamber chief executive Tim Hutchings said: “Growing companies have struggled to access the funds they need to expand and create new jobs I hope that this initiative will go some way toward relieving that problem”.
The BGF is keen to meet businesses in the Hertfordshire area that would benefit from the unique long-term growth funding and partnership opportunities that we offer.
The BGF is looking to invest around £2 million to £10 million in dynamic, growing UK-based companies with sales of over £8 million a year. It is offering long-term expert partnership to help business growth, and to provide a valuable network of contacts across the UK and globally.
The fund will be introduced to Hertfordshire businesses at the event at Sopwell House Hotel, St Albans on July 12 which is being organised by the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce and chaired by the Business Growth Fund chief executive Stephen Welton.
In addition to networking over breakfast, companies will be able to meet professional BGF investment managers in special one to one surgeries, to discuss individual growth plans in confidence.
