A LAW firm is branching out and opening a fourth office in a market town.

Pictons already has bases in Hemel Hempstead, Milton Keynes and Luton.

Now bosses are opening an office in Tring after acquiring law firm Swatton Taylor Dutton, which has been in the town for more than 40 years.

Managing director of Pictons Roger Talbot said: “We have been looking to expand our business in Hertfordshire for some time. When this opportunity presented itself we knew immediately that it is right for our firm.”

Staff from Swatton Taylor Dutton will be kept on by Pictons.

Mr Talbot said: “We are inheriting a fantastic team in Tring and we look forward to welcoming them into our group.”

Swatton Taylor Dutton partners, Andrew Dutton and Dudley Taylor, have been working in the town since the 1980s.

Andrew said: “I feel ready to focus just on residential tribunal work. Dudley is looking forward to enjoying himself and doing more sailing.

“Although we feel it is time to move on, we didn’t want to lose the legacy we have built up over the years. “

Pictons will open its Tring office on Thursday, September 1.
