A floor polishing machine and filing cabinets are among the varied items being sought by charities.
Connect Dacorum, an organisation that links businesses to community groups that they can help out, has published the latest 'wish list' from it members.
1. St Mary's Hall in Hemel Hempstead old town a looking for a floor polishing machine.
2. Gadebridge Community Centre would love a photocopier.
3. The Citizens Advice Bureau in Hemel need six adjustable computer chairs and three four-draw lockable filing cabinets.
4. The Boys Brigade in Feldon could do with general office furniture.
5. Dacorum Community Trust would love to replace their computers or a kind company to donate 2,500 for a complete IT refit.
6. Highfield Community Centre need six up to date laptops and an up to
date printer for their community training sessions.
7. Mencap are offering the services of their clients to do simple tasks for local companies. Packing, Letter folding, mail shots, etc, etc. They don't need paying, just travel and lunch expenses if you need them to come to you.
8. Dacorum Emergency Night Shelter are holding a Spring Dinner on Friday, May 8, at Pendley Manor Hotel. Tickets are 55 each.
9. Bennetts End Community Centre would like to replace their old computers.
10. Apsley Paper Trail have recently had their van stolen. Does anyone have a an old van they no longer need or would like to sponsor a new van.
11. Furnell Transport have organised the Spirit of Dacorum Historic Vehicle Tour. 50 Classic Cars will tour the area from 10am on Sunday, May 3. There is still an opportunity to advertise in the programme literature and to attend on the day.
12. The Volunteer Centre Dacorum have many individual volunteering opportunities and also a list of Team Building Challenges for your staff.
13. The Dacorum Community Trust will gladly receive donations of any size, that they will pass on the needy individuals or charities in Dacorum.
