Free IT course to help beat the crunch

A free computer workshop to help businesses in Hertfordshire beat the recession is on offer next week.

The IT session, organised by the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) is on Wednesday, February 18 in Hatfield.

Part of EEDA's 'takeITon' campaign, the workshop aims to help businesses grow and survive the current economic climate by offering tips on how to use computing to save money, win new contracts and manage finances.

Jan Pinkerton, head of business ICT and intelligence at EEDA said: "Recent research by EEDA has found that businesses with higher levels of IT adoption are more likely to benefit from higher business productivity and growth.

"This programme of takeITon workshops will help demonstrate to businesses that simple low-cost IT solutions can go a long way to improving productivity and efficiency, particularly in these challenging economic times."
