i live at 24 Dudley house, next to the flat that was on fire, this was around 7.30 AM, i called the council pullcord service to inform them of the Fire,i was told tthat the firebrigade were on there way; some of the residence made there way down stairs to the community room, we were asked by the fire officer if the warden was available because they wanted a list of all residence, when we explained there was not one they had to breakdown the door of the wardens office to get a list, and it was us residence who helped the firebrigade compile a list, And at no time did the council send a warden to help the residence of dudley House, we had to fend for ourselves.although we should have a 24 hour call out warden. we pay weekly for a service that we dont get, but the firebrigade, police and Ambulance service were great, more than can be said for the council who did not bother to send anybody to make sure that the residence of Dudley House were looked after Steve Eldridge
