An author dazzled shoppers with his magic tips on achieving your goals at the launch of his debut self-help book.
Business coach Martin Gladdish, also a keen amateur magician, made more than 40 copies of his book, The Lazy Optimist, disappear from Waterstones Hemel Hempstead during a signing on Saturday.
Martin said: “It was a brilliant day, it went really well and on reflection I am pleased to have sold so many copies. I got some support from friends and business contacts, but there were also some people who had come in to see what it was all about. I managed to draw a few people in with my magic tricks, too.”
He hopes his manual about ‘positive doing’ rather than just positive thinking will help people who, for one reason or another, have never followed their dreams.
The keen writer is already planning his next work and promises there will be another book to come. He said: “I have had really good feedback from The Lazy Optimist and have seen a good review of it on Amazon. I will be pursuing other books and already have ideas in my head.”
