Events at this year’s Graham Greene Festival will include a workshop on how to write creative fiction and a tour around the celebrated author’s former school.
The annual event – now in its 15th year – will be held at venues across Berkhamsted for four days from Thursday, September 26.
Giles Clark, chairman of organising body the Graham Greene Birthplace Trust, said: “We sell more than 800 tickets a year for this.
“It is wonderful to have something like this in Berkhamsted – I would say Graham Greene is ranked up there with the great writers of the 20th Century.”
The festival marks the birthday of Greene, who wrote Brighton Rock and was born in part of Berkhamsted School, on October 2, and studied there as a boarder.
