Football fans could have their name emblazoned on a building that will be a base for coaching players and training referees.
Berkhamsted Raiders is inviting supporters to Buy a Brick to help pay for the creation of the classroom at Ashylns School.
It is the second phase of the BerkoAstro project on the school’s grounds in Chesham Road, which will cost £150,000.
In November last year, a floodlit 3G pitch was opened on the base, which is used by thousands of schoolchildren and other groups every week.
Now the club wants to transform a derelict building to provide a classroom, changing rooms, toilets and refreshment facilities.
A £50,000 donation from a family living in the town will help foot some of the cost, another £5,000 has been raised by dads Mark Day and Jon Hedge, who completed a relay cross Channel swim in August, and the club is hopeful another £50,000 will come from the Football Foundation.
Those that buy a brick for £25 or £50 for a double brick can have their name or message displayed on the building.
