Entries are now open for the 32nd Berkhamsted Half Marathon.
The notoriously hilly race has been won for the last three years by former Berkhamsted School student Ed Banks. His latest finishing time was 1h 12m 20s.
The first female finisher in the 2013 half-marathon was Kate Rennie in 1h 24m 1s.
There is also a five-mile ‘fun run’ during the event on Sunday, March 2.
The two races are organised to raise money for good causes in and around the area by the Rotary Club of Berkhamsted Bulbourne.
Most of the money is given to The Hospice of St Francis in Northchurch and the Pepper Foundation, which cares for children with life-limiting illnesses.
