Pedigree pooches drew large crowds at Riverside Shopping Centre’s pet day on Saturday.

Dancing dogs including two times Crufts champion Pogo amazed onlookers by performing tricks alongside champion trainer and judge Richard Curtis.

Richard also performed a variety of routines with six helping hounds including poodle cross Whizzy who danced with a cane, and Chihuahua cross Betty, the smallest dog to have ever competed at Crufts, who performed with children from the audience.

Riverside’s centre manager David Robinson said: “It was a brilliant day and the dogs drew big crowds.

“I was really impressed with what the canine stars could do and it was lovely to see the kids getting involved.”

Riverside Shopping Centre is also holding a Father’s Day-themed event on Saturday, June 8, where families can have their pictures taken with Superman.
