A HANDYMAN scheme for the elderly has been given a cash injection.

Councillor Richard Roberts has pledged £500 from his Herts County Council locality budget to a handyman project run by Dacorum’s Age Concern.

The scheme pays for someone to carry out small jobs for people who are no longer capable of doing the work themselves, from changing a light bulb to fitting a stair hand rail.
