A farm shop selling locally-sourced produce is celebrating its opening with a family fun day this summer.

The Hemel Food Garden Farm Shop is part of a community initiative run by Sunnyside Rural Trust, and has recently opened on its Two Waters Way site in Hemel Hempstead.

Locally-sourced products - including the amusingly-named Wobbly Bottom cheese - are available to purchase at the new Hemel Food Garden Farm Shop

A day of pirate-themed family fun is planned for June 22, between 10am and 6pm. The trust invites the public to come down, have a look around and take part in the day’s activities.

The trust works at the site offering adults with learning disabilities the chance to learn horticultural skills.

Their produce is available to buy at the shop, along with free-range eggs from the Northchurch site, and jams and chutneys made from fruit grown at the Berkhamsted site.
