COULD you be the perfect person to help the Volunteer Centre celebrate its 40th anniversary in style?
Do you have a creative streak just bursting to get out? Then this wonderful opportunity is perfect for you.
Helpers are needed to let their imaginations loose and design and create displays in order to increase awareness of the work the centre does and, of course, celebrate a whopping 40 years of dedicated guidance to potential volunteers and volunteer agencies.
Someone with lots of ideas is required as there will be different themes throughout the year in various different venues, including libraries and community centres all over the local area.
The right person should have the ability to travel around to put up posters, banners and various other displays.
The hours are designed to suit the volunteer, but it will be roughly no more than the equivalent to just one day a month. There will be an induction on the first day when the helper will meet the coordinator they will be working alongside.
> Christmas is coming and this fun time of year is the perfect opportunity to open up a brand new charity shop in Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead.
Volunteers are needed to work as part of the Hospice of St Francis team in the new store.
This will require plenty of face-to-face contact with customers, lots of goodies to peruse, and of course, a smiling face to greet shoppers with.
Someone is needed who can spare just one morning or afternoon a week, as the hours are extremely flexible.
The right person must be no younger that 14 years old.
The hospice requires someone reliable and the right person will come to work with a welcoming manner, a friendly personality and willingness to help the customers.
The Hospice of St Francis, with an inpatient facility on the outskirts of Berkhamsted, helps people from just south of Luton to just north of Watford, and from the Missendens in the West to St Albans in the east.
