Chaos for rail commuters
RAIL commuters across Dacorum are facing travel chaos after the line from Milton Keynes to Euston was blocked this morning.
London Midland said the blockage is due to a freight train derailment at Bletchley overnight.
In a statement on its website, the rail company said: “We strongly advise passengers not to travel on the Euston line this morning and are extremely sorry for the obvious inconvenience.
“Coach and bus operators are struggling to provide vehicles for us due to school commitments this morning, so we are unable to provide any alternative road transport.
“However, there may be scheduled bus services from your local station. Check online for details.”
There is a shuttle service for Tring passengers running to and from Watford Junction, while a Virgin Trains service is calling at all stations between Tring and London Euston.
The delays are expected to last all morning.
