MAKING a very big plea (above) for support in its Chilterns Three Peaks Challenge is the Tring-based Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice Care (IRGH).

The walk starts from Princes Risborough, and there are five, nine and 18-mile routes to take part in across Whiteleaf Cross and Coombe Hill.

Those on the longer walk will also go across Ivinghoe Beacon at the hike on Sunday, September 18.

More than 30 people got together at Coombe Hill for the above photo last Wednesday.

It was the idea of fundraiser Kerri Coote. She said: “Our Chilterns Three Peaks Challenge follows 18 miles of the oldest road in Britain – the Ridgeway.

“Along the route there is already a chalk figure at Whiteleaf Cross with others scattered through the Chilterns. I thought it would be fantastic to make our own temporary chalk figure.”

Taking part in the walk costs £15 for adults and £7.50 for children. To learn more or sign up, visit www.c3peaks.com
