A retired Berkhamsted School PE teacher is using her new found free time to take part in a charity trek in Vietnam.

Penny Kent, who is just two months into her retirement, will be helping disadvantaged children when she joins the Hospice of St Francis project.

The 60 year old will be taking along sports equipment to give to the children she meets along the way and has signed up friend Judy Gorrie to join her on the big adventure, which will also raise vital funds for the Northchurch-based hospice.

There are still a few places on the trek party, which sets off in April. To find out more visit www.stfrancis.org.uk/trekvietnam or email fran.martin@stfrancis.org.uk
