A second teenager has been charged with the murder of Billy Dove.
Billy, aged 21, from Hemel Hempstead died from a stab wound following an incident in the town centre at 1.30am on Sunday.
A 17-year-old was charged yesterday and a second 17-year-old boy has been charged in the past few hours.
Both teenagers charged with murder cannot be named for legal reasons.
One appeared before Hatfield Remand Court and the most recently charged teen will appear before the court tomorrow.
Chief Insp Mike Pryce said: “The incident on Saturday night, which resulted in the sad and tragic death of a young man, Billy Dove, has understandably had a traumatic and devastating effect on Billy’s family and the people of Hemel Hempstead and our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Billy’s family at this time.
“In Dacorum we have a strong track record of working with our partner agencies, schools and youth groups educating them about the dangers of knife crime and we will continue to work with the relevant parties to continue to educate the people of Dacorum about the dangers of carrying offensive weapons. We are also increasing high visibility patrols in Hemel Hempstead town centre to reassure members of the public.”
