A LINE of parked cars was raided by thieves while rugby players trained.

Tring Rugby Club players had valuables stolen from them as practised, during Tuesday night’s training session at Cow Lane.

Four cars, including a blue Ford Focus, a black Fiat Punto, a black BMW and a white Peogeot 306 were broken into between 7.30pm and 9pm.

Thieves smashed windows on the vehicles before snatching items including iPads, wallets, clothing and mobile phones.

Police believe that the offenders were disturbed while breaking into the Fiat Punto.

They have also linked the crime to another incident in Tring, when a sat nav was stolen from a silver Peugeot 206 between 6.30pm and 7.30pm while it was parked on Mortimer Hill.

Report information on the police non-emergency number by dialling 101.
