Staff and volunteers at Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice Care (IRGH) have been shocked by the theft of a Toshiba laptop from the charity’s bookshop on Tring’s High Street.

The computer, which was donated, went missing on Saturday, February 18 and staff suspect it was taken while a volunteer was being purposely distracted by a young man.

Head of retail and trading Lesley Blencowe said: “We are all shocked and angry that this has happened.

“It has made us realise that we need to take further precautions to safeguard security in our shops.”
