POLICE hunting for the body of murder victim Murray Thompson have sent a team of divers into a fishing lake in Watford.

A specialist survey boat was used to search the lake in Cassiobury Park while the area where his van was found in Bushey and open ground near the flat he last visited in St Albans Road, Watford, have also been scoured.

Murray, 34, who lived in St Albans and worked at Gil-Lec electrical wholesalers in Ebberns Road, Apsley, has been missing since April last year.

Four men have been charged in connection with his disappearance.

Det Insp Jerome Kent said: “The torture of not knowing where Murray is located is unimaginable for his parents and having been in regular contact with them I know that they are not able to move forward until he is found.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 01707 355959 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
