QUEEN: Celebrations of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee could include a street fair, fancy dress and live music, Berkhamsted Town Council heard on Monday.

Dacorum Borough Council will put £3,000 into the town’s festivities.

Meeting chairman David Collins said: “I very much welcome the celebrations, but let’s hope we can keep them within a reasonable cost.”

His wife Elaine, also a councillor, previously said the group has “better things to spend their money on”.
