Not guilty plea to race attack

A MAN has pleaded not guilty to racially-aggravated assault.

But Kenneth Raymond Smith, of Manor Road in Tring, did admit common assault when he appeared at Watford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, May 10.

It is alleged that the 56-year-old, hit a black man, aged in his 20s from Watford, twice in the face before making a racist remark on Friday, April 15.

He is due to face trial at Watford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, June 23.
