Police warn of car part thefts

Police are warning motorists to look out for people acting suspiciously around cars and trying to get underneath them following a spate of catalytic converter thefts.

There have been 106 in Dacorum since January and officers in Tring have been carrying out night-time operations in the town.

It will cost motorist Brian Rumph £600 to replace his catalytic converter taken from his car in Tring on Friday, September 23.

A number of arrests have been made and police are asking people to call 999 if they see crimes taking place.
