A cat rehoming show has been hailed as the best ever after several lucky felines were offered a new home at the weekend.

The Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted branch of the Cats Protection reported that nine out of the 12 moggies exhibited will be leaving its care to make way for other cats after Sunday’s event.

The show – which was held at Pilgrims Cottage Cattery in Chipperfield – raised more than £100 in much-needed funds.

Neutering officer Ali Allen said: “We were rushed off our feet.”

There was more good news in the form of homes for black moggies Beau and Dexter, who were featured in last week’s issue of The Gazette.

Timid puss Beau has been offered a forever home in Berkhamsted, and playful Dexter has gone to a family in Hemel Hempstead.
