CAMPAIGNERS could get their wish for an old people’s day care centre to be set up in Berkhamsted.
The former site in the town’s Manor Street was abolished by Herts County Council in 2009.
Ted Dyer (above), chairman of the Conservation Area Residents’ Association of Berkhamsted (CARAB), criticised its failure to provide a replacement facility.
But at a meeting last Wednesday, Dr Ros Taylor, a director of The Hospice of St Francis, said it could potentially offer day care on-site in Shootersway, Berkhamsted.
