Doing your bit for Children in Need 2013

People across Dacorum have been doing their bit for this year’s Children in Need.

Youngsters at Pixies Hill Primary School wore their pyjamas and onesies on Friday to raise funds and children at Hobletts Manor Infants’ and Nursery School also donned bedtime attire.

Hemel Hempstead holiday firm Haven turned its head office into a donations call centre for the charity on Friday evening. Staff there volunteered to man phone lines for the big night and the firm has pledged to raise £200,000 for the good cause during 2013.

Kind hearted 75 year old Miriam Ellis has been knitting dolly clothes and selling them at Needlecraft for decades, raising a staggering £10,000 for Children in Need over the years.
