Doors slam Hadley on way to claiming a title victory

SWR Doors finally wrapped up the Premier league title, with 3 games to spare, after beating Hadley 5-3.

Warren Drysdale struck twice with Spencer Jackson, Ryan Lee and Jeff Mensah all finding the net.

Second place will go to Hemel Rovers after their 2-1 victory over Oxhey FC.

Dave Flack and Ray Wood were Rovers’ marksmen.

In Division Three Potten End lost by the odd goal in seven when going down 4-3 at Harpenden Rovers.

Two goals from James Bates and another from Rob Hopkins were not quite enough.

In the Berkhamsted Sunday Football League, Comets Sports Club recorded a 3-0 away victory over AFC Boars in the Premier Division with goals from Aaron Lewis, Chris Marsh and Nick Jackson.

In Division One, Lee Franklin, Niall Woods and John Larter were on the scoresheet as Park Rangers saw off The Herald 3-0.

AFC Rovers were in seventh heaven in Division Two with a 7-0 romp over Comets Sports Club Res.

James Heward netted a hat-trick, with Lawrence Kain, Oli Brown, Rob Buckland and an own goal completing the scoring.

Blackbirds Rangers enjoyed a 6-1 triumph at Apsley Villa. Ben Hull was the hat-trick hero while Bradley Joyce netted a brace and David Lowe was also on target. Stuart Pierce replied for the hosts.

The Queens Head recorded a home success in Division Three.

They beat Anchor Tring 4-1 thanks to goals from David Ellis, David French, Duncan Allen and David Buckingham. Charlie Palmer replied.

The Bull Athletic were 7-1 victors on their visit to The Old Bell Gate.

Tom Kilcoyne and Adam Field scored two apiece with Chris Sweeney, Adam Whyte and Matt Regan adding to the spoils. Andy Power scored for the home side.
