THE number of motorists being issued fines for driving on a bus lane has drastically fallen in the past two months.
The enforcement camera at Moor End Road in Hemel Hempstead caught out 100 motorists a day from November 28 to December 23 last year.
It is a drastic reduction in comparison to the 1,000 a day it caught when it first went live during July the same year.
The camera has been at the centre of a row between motorists and Hertfordshire County Council because drivers thought that a large number of people were being caught out because the signs were not clear enough.
Many of them protested at the side of the road to warn other drivers and eventually the council painted in road markings.
