Partying with angels, clowns and monsters, having Geri Halliwell whizz past on top of a taxi and meeting comedian Russell Brand were just a few of the surreal experiences Dave Wright had when he performed in the Olympic closing ceremony.
The drummer from Hemel Hempstead was part of the opening and closing shows and said that even the rehearsals with a plethora of stars in a car park in Dagenham were amazing experiences.
“It has been a tremendous adventure for nine months,” he said.
“On the last night we were aware that we were part of a showpiece for the world so all our senses were heightened.
“There was an absolute party atmosphere and we were in the thick of it next to Team GB.
“The whole thing was surreal.”
