A FURNITURE company has stepped in to save an after-school crossing patrol.

Pitstone-based PRS Furniture is sponsoring the afternoon lollypop lady at Long Marston School after Herts County Council withdrew the service.

The school was without an afternoon patrol after the previous lollypop lady retired but was not replaced.
