TWO nursery workers are opening their own nursery to tackle a shortage of places for tots in their town.

The Gazette reported in July that more than 10 per cent of Berkhamsted children will not have pre-school places this year.

Out of 290 nursery-age children, 30 could not get places at their parents’ first- or second-choice nursery.

From January Mel Davis and Fiona Richardson will open their own nursery in 384 High Street, Berkhamsted, to cater for 20 youngsters each day, aged from two to five.
