Science made fun for pupils

PUPILS learnt about forces the fun way in a circus game-themed science lesson.

At Grove Road School in Tring, 120 Years 1 and 2 students spent time on Wednesday and Thursday morning in workshops with outreach group Setpoint.

Children had fun with a coconut shy, magnets, mazes, wobble pens and using compressed air to fire water jets at rubber ducks asthey learnt about forces.

Year 2 teacher Kate Carter said: “It brings it to life for them and they have a chance to investigate, makes and experiment.”

She said it is the first time the school has used the workshops and it is looking into holding more in future.
