Wide range of plays at school theatre week

A DRAMATIC week will see talented arts students perform 10 times as part of a theatre festival.

Pupils from Tring Park School for the Performing Arts will be putting on five plays at their Markova Theatre from March 4-10.

The festival starts with The Trestle at Pope Lick Creek, directed by sixth-formerJosie Murray at 7.30pm on March 4.

Comedy Stepping Out, for ages 11 and over, will be performed on March 7 at 7.30pm and drama The Trial, for audiences 14 and over, will be at 7.30pm on March 8.

One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest will be at 7.30pm on March 9 and Equus, directed by the school’s director of drama Edward Applewhite, will be at 7.30pm on March 10.

Mr Applewhite said: “The festival is aimed at the more mature students here at Tring and is about getting them to understand a darker and more complex side to drama.”
